I used to see more intricate roads. Six-lane highways that mixed and crossed with so many other highways. Those highways have been turning into 2-way back roads sprawling across the countryside but never going anywhere— except to gather around the nearest quick ticket out.

Fuck a job during my last summer of college, I’m just gonna go hike the Appalachian Trail for a month instead.
I’m reading about the black bears along the trail and it’s like “If you are actually attacked by a bear, you should fight for all you are worth with anything at hand – rocks, sticks, fists.” and I’m like, black bears?
